Homa Pourasgari is neither a Democrat nor a Republican. Although in the past she often voted Democrat, during the last primaries, she decided to vote for Ron Paul, a republican candidate with a conscience. Even though she didn’t agree with everything he said, she still thought he was the best man for the job. She believes in voting for the right person instead of voting for a particular political party.

Homa is a big supporter of human rights, a strong believer in freedom of expression and an advocate of small business. She is pro peace, pro environment, pro education, pro natural health remedies and pro smaller government. It was no wonder that she was baffled at some of the poll questions when she participated - What is your religion? How often do you go to church? How many times a month do you pray?  - Was she now living in Saudi Arabia?

Where these really the questions the poll takers wanted her to answer? – not possible, she thought. What happened to questions about the collapsing economy? The cost of health insurance? Unemployment? The cost of gas? The cost of food? Human rights? The environment? At what point did the American political system become a farce? She’s still trying to figure that one out.
